Secular recovery options. I went to a traditional meeting and I barely lasted 30 minutes. It works for others just not me.

Yo! Come to Club 24 (Lee and Mayfield) at 11:30 on Sunday morning! Or Wednesday at 6pm in Lakewood at the main library for the Agnostic meeting!

You've been to the secular meeting there? It's a good one. And the westside one is really good. Also on the west side at the smaller library on Madison also in Lakewood is the Freethinkers meeting every day at noon. Good people.

I haven’t been going to many meetings since I got my new sponsor the women don’t like my non traditional sobriety journey

Come to the West side agnostic meeting Saturday morning in Lakewood. The women there are amazing. We are having a bonfire this month as well as a house party with a jazz pianist.

You may have to remind me, I forget a lot these days, under a lot of stress

I totally understand. I get how you feel about regular meetings. I go to all kinds but prefer the secular ones. But the meetings I mentioned are really good with some good AA in them.

I’ll give it a try, I have no sober support at this point because the male female sponsor thing is a big no. Maybe new meetings and ppl will bring me back , :crossed_fingers:t5:

I’ve been to meetings that were just ok and gone back to a totally different vibe and experience
I’ve sat through plenty of people who have the same share every time they speak
At first I’d go to the bathroom or make a coffee
As I got further into 11th Step work I challenged myself to find a positive no matter how small in those shares
I became able to do that
I found I was cultivating compassion and patience
I became more tolerant
What works for many might not work for me but I like that one can seek sobriety through so many different avenues

Come back. There is strong, non religion based AA in those meetings I mentioned.

Absolutely

There are recovery meetings on here. There is also SMART recovery meeting online all the time. They work in a way that is more scientific and mind based. Try it. I love it!
