Starting this over. Any suggestions?
Would like to here more bout plantation. You don't hear that often.
Just keep trying, don't give up. Learn from what cause you to start over but don't beat yourself up
If you mean weed by "plantation" it's a well known fact in addiction circles that afflicts cant safely trade in one for another (booze for weed). Our addict minds just attach to the next mind altering or mood altering crutch.
Early sobriety is hard. No getting around it. Some have to be physically separated from substance. Keep it in the day it’s all we got be good to you you’re worth it, we love you and need you too.

Meetings. Getting plugged into a program. Surrounding yourself with others in recovery. Don’t pick up no matter what. And keep it simple.
First: plantation is just a different cruise, so take a step back for a second. No need to assume anything and go off on a tangent.
Maybe for you. The same certainly does not hold true for everyone. Stop trying to dictate others' sobriety.
Everything is mood altering. Everything. Food, prescriptions, you name it. Then we have coffee & cigarettes - both of which are addictive AND massive crutches used and abused by every AA meeting. Do you give the same spiel to cig smokers and coffee drinkers?
My suggestion is to take a few days completely to yourself and consider the possibility that escapism is an iron door preventing you from evolving to your next level(s) of self-actualization.
Escapism is big topic. It comes in many forms, but the simplest ones to partake in are TV, weed and ethanol.
“Amor Fati” - Don’t escape your fate - create it!!
Go after sobriety with the same zeal you would your DOC
You aren't starting over if you learn from what doesn't work. Continue moving forward by building on what works for you.
Feeding weakness with guilt has never help me
Another thought. Is there some deep issue you need to work on that your relapsing to medicate?
Hang in theređź–¤
Learn from every bit of it and keep fighting.
Keep your chin up and know that you are worth another chance at life!
I just try to remember that picking up a drink won’t change my current situation.
I think back to the instant regret that hits me when that first gulp goes down. Knowing from that point on til I come to tomorrow (if we’re lucky) that I just spent the last day running from something that will always be there.
It took me being tired of always feeling miserable before I could see how much pain I was adding to my own life, let alone every person that loved and cared about me. It never mattered how much they wanted to help me, I had to find that want and willingness on my own and once you do. The first day of the rest of your life can start. Its terrifying facing every obstacle and feeling through clear eyes but once you see it, you’ll want more.
Ask yourself, how?
Honesty.
Open minded.
Willingness.
Without one growth cannot start. You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for. Alcoholics/addicts are the strongest headed people I’ve ever met in my life. We do what we want on our terms. Change those terms to something positive and you’ll grow!
Welcome home

post or call someone when you want to use! It all starts with a thought that’s a lie . Keep the faith
90 in 90. Don’t use between meetings. Call a friend.
You're not going to be sober for the rest of your life in one day. Just relax. Stay sober just for today. Then just keep doing that everyday. You got this. WE believe in you.
Do t the first 3 steps an get a female sponsor
Take it slow and remember to believe in yourself. know that you deserve the best and that any substance you use will only deter you from the goal and that is being the best you. Don't count your days but count the nights youre able to go to sleep clean and sober. That's what does it for me.. and having the right people in your life that want the same for you..if they don't then cut them out because they were never good for you in the first place. Best of luck and reach out if you need an ear to listen. There's alot of good people on here who are willing to take the time to listen and help when needed..
The mistake I made was to isolate and close myself off too others ! Meetings make it weather in person or on zoom , go to five a day whatever number , stay connected !
