Struggling again with the question why not? I know

Struggling again with the question why not? I know why not but my mind is taking me there. Please pray for me. I know I feel so much better when I abstain from alcohol. BTW, is there anyone else that just loves the taste? What are your tools?

You know why not. Tell us again what happens to you when you go have that lovely drink

I get a pint, drink until it is gone, pass out, wake up the next morning embarrassed because I don’t know what I did the night before and have to go to work with the shakes and feeling like he!! Warmed over. Thank you for the reminder. You are the best!

Pam! I’ll pray for you.
Heavenly Father, I pray that you remove theses urges, these thoughts that are cropping up right now in Pam’s head. I pray that you, God, give her the tools to play the tape out. All the way to the end. God, please send her some intuition on making and taking the next best right decision. We all know that alcohol is not good for us Alcoholics. Remove any fear she maybe experiencing right now. I ask all of these things in the name of your son Jesus’ Christ, Amen

In time - one day at a time you will not miss the taste of a drink or the way it makes you feel after. The obsession goes away - with acceptance and willingness. Sobriety is a gift. Many wish it for you. You are not alone in your struggle. You are on the path of self awareness... keep up the good work.

You're chasing a feeling that is long gone. Let it go and think about what can happen if you have that first drink.

Talk about perfect timing for me. I was just like I should get wasted lol and my mind was then like no you don't want to do that, then I came on here and read this. Thank you. It's a little strange that I kind of miss being able to black out and not be stuck in my head, ha, sounds so stupid to say.

Just remember how awful you feel when you use. I have been sober over 1 year, and it always works for me. I have never felt better.
