This is my day one too
We got this
Yes we do!!!
Hey bud. How are you holding up?
Really good this morning ! You ?
AWESOME!!!! ME TOO. Here if you need anything!
It makes me happy to see you making this decision. Keep your eyes forward, you got this!
Thank you!
I was super resistant to AA - but find a meeting tonight. You’ll get so much support , love and understanding.
Hi Kay. How are you doing?
You get the urge, go for a long walk.
I'm thinking about it. I went to a meeting once and it depressed me so much I went home and drank that night
I always do. I go to a park nearby and do my cardio
How you doing buddy ?
Doing good! How about you? Any cravings?
Doing good, some cravings but passed pretty quick. Got a good workout in today, haven’t focused on that in a long time.
That's the key!!! Keep your mind occupied and focus on a new and healthy habit! I'm heading to the park to do some cardio! No cravings!
Have an open mind! There are a bunch of wonderful 12 step, 4 step and others like life ring that can help you stay on this path of enlightenment. Recovery dharma is a great 4 step (aka the four noble truths). I’m working the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and it’s flipping awesome! G0d runs the show today. Good luck my friend.
PS steps 1, 2, & 3 have removed all urges to drink, drugs, caffeine, and tobacco from my life. It’s also just about removed sugar too! Great program. Remember this journey is yours, no ones else’s. This is your masterpiece make it blissfully beautiful my friend!
My condolences to you and your friends family for their loss.
One thing that I’m doing is looking for others who need help in stopping. Helping the newcomer is how we get to keep what was so freely given to us.
Good luck! I’m here if you need to reach out!
Ah man! I truly appreciate your words!!!! I actually bought the recovery dharma book and I'm going to start reading it! I'd love to stop caffeine and sugar too! I'm actually starting a detox plan next Monday, I just want to have 7 days of sobriety under my belt before I start! Thank you again for your advise!
Good! Arie my uncle passed away from alcoholism two months ago and I went to visit him in the hospital 3 days before he died. Have had countless friends die from addiction meaning alcoholism and drugging or both over the years. Its not easy at 1st, but trust me it does get very easy a little time later. Just take it one day at a time and remember just cause people like you and me have a addiction does not mean other people do not go through similar problems throughout there life. We all deal with problems and tragedy and social, economic class it does not matter.
