Today I drank 2 N/A beers and now I'm all

Today I drank 2 N/A beers and now I'm all nervous I need to change my sobriety date. I'll have 90 days tomorrow. I personally don't feel like I should have to change it but I'm such a rule follower and I don't know what AA thinks about all that.

I say keep it but don’t drink those things again, it’s playing with fire if you ask me

You may be right. Just felt good to feel "normal" again

I think nonalcoholic beer is fine. As long as it doesn't make u want a real one😊

Sarah you helped me earlier so thank you. I know what you mean by feeling normal again, but we have to make this life our new normal. I just got done with 3 meetings in a row on a freaking Friday night :man_shrugging:t2: I guess that’s going to be something like my new normal

Whatever keeps us from isolating! "It works if you work it!" :joy: Good for you for knowing what you needed to do and doing it!

I use the lion rock recovery app, there’s a bunch of really cool recovery zoom meetings there not just AA. It’s a pretty cool community

I'll check it out! Thanks!

Sarah, my sponsor actually wrote AA Central Office to ask about near beer.
The amount of alcohol in n/a beer is almost non existent. Probably equal to rinsing your mouth with mouthwash. However, I stay away from it because it doesn’t do me any favors. What I mean is this, in any given situation I ask myself if what I’m doing is taking me closer to, or further from the first drink?
For me na beer is not taking me further from. But that’s just me.
BTW, AA Central Office response was “we do not comment on outside issues”
Hope that helps.

So helpful!!! Thank you

Your welcome.
Take a look at your chip tomorrow. On the front it says
“To thine own self be true”

AA’s that started this thing were pretty dang wise. They new this stuff would come up. It means that you and only you know when you’re getting Fu$$&& up, or not. You and only you know if you got drunk or not.
“Sobriety, It’s an inside job”

I agree

Well said

That’s a good question and I really don’t know the answer to it

Just here to show support. Do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't affect your sobriety journey. Everyone's stopping process is different.

I do “moctails” tonic with a splash of cranberry and a lime. Works every time. A virgin BloodyMary works also

There’s no alcohol and it’s a type of beverage that is filling and satisfying. I think it’s a marvelous solution. Relax and enjoy. No hangover or anxiety! I think you can count all your days and not doubt yourself at all!! Well done!
