Today I feel this overwhelming sadness, I don’t know why, I just keep reliving memories with all my family that passed last year and they’re good memories, but I miss my family so much, it’s crippling…I’m not going to relapse but it affects my life so badly
I know the feeling. I'm sorry you're feeling that way😢
Sorry you’re having a rough day Merry, it’s hard to get through the day when emotions are overwhelming. Take a few deep breaths and maybe do a gratitude list for some perspective. Sending you a hug!
Can you find something to feel grateful for? I’m not rating or minimizing your pain, but no matter what we do not have the luxury of self pity. It will kill us. Addiction loves self pity. Self pity cannot exist in the same space as gratitude.
Me to Merry, coming up at the end of the month of 4 years since my father passed away, I know he would want me to be Happy though and Proud that I finally got Sober💚stay Strong, reach out to supportive people, Hugs
I lost my grandmother and aunt who raised me In april and September my husband was killed by a bus on November 5th we had two kids together, my papaw who was my daddy because he raised me from day 1, I didn’t really know my mom and dad so they were all that I had…I’m pushing and I’m grateful for my children, but it’s so hard
Oh Merry...I can't even imagine!! I think it's really important to feel what you're feeling and grieve. I hope you have a sponsor and a really good support system my Love! Use them like a lifeline because they are! My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend

No but I need one, thank you, I agree I knew that I would grieve them all over Again, for real without mind altering substance and it hit me like a ton of bricks
Get one asap!! Get yourself to a meeting and jump into the steps!! I promise it does get better!! Feel free to PM me anytime ok??
I’m going to
Just like the first step in AA.
You are powerless with the unfortunate deaths of loved ones. You have my sympathies.
That's so much to go through. Can't even imaging that much loss......but you can do this. Don't fall for the lie, stay sober
Oh yeah I definitely plan to, I’m not going they that again..addiction fixes our problems temporarily but they’re still gonna be there when we’re sober and probably worse
Losing my father changed me a lot. I understand.
Bless your heart! Prayers!
I lost my nephew, 33 years old to addiction in November! It’s killing my heart!
You’ll get though it!!! This too shall pass… every bad time is only temporary so just learn to enjoy the good times so you can stay positive through the bad!

sending love, merry.
Sounds like grief and depression. Sending virtual hugs your way.
