Congratulations, Ally!
Thank you for your inspiring message.

During your first few years, especially-
How did you balance the gratitude in relation to being so glad that you are-became sober…with some regrets about the past?
Specifically, lost time ( if applicable ).
By focusing on the present, I guess?

I will remember that you shared this today, Ally.
Again, congratulations to you!:star2::tada::star2::tada::star2:

Awesome, Devon! I am glad you are here on this earth to inspire others who think they can't make 2 years.

Thank you. Blessings

Sarim. Here's my humble answer and I hope it answers your question...Nothing happens to us in the past it happens for us. If I allow the past to intrude on my present, it's toxic nostalgia and steals one's spontaneity and joy in the present. The day I made the decision to remain sober and started to take my life day by day, the promises of AA manifested in my life. Why fish in the unproductive waters of the past when one can cast into a blitz and fulfill one's potential. Gratitude, planning, and letting go of attachments quells my ego and grounds me. Meditation, meetings and honesty reminds me I have to take it day by day.
