When I quit on my own before I felt a bit better but was angry and short tempered.
When I quit and worked a program everything changed. I felt peace of mind and serenity. Something I hadn’t felt in years.
That is awesome , I still have mental fog only been sober bout a week. But i notice i smile more.
A week turns into 2. Then 4. Keep making good decisions. Go to meetings. Nobody wants to go in the beginning. Everyone has a million reasons not to go. That’s your addiction trying to preserve itself. Connect with the biggest group of sober people you can find. It’s fun. We are all a little nuts.
Yea well i tried the AA in my town . Did not go well
Well, I have two brothers that died as a direct result of alcohol so I guess I would have to say one of the biggest perks, his life
I guess the first thing you have to do is answer the question are you a real alcoholic?
I am really trying to save my life by not drinking cause I almost died five years ago as a result of my drinking
Yes i definitely am an alcoholic
Can you tell me why you tried AA in your town and it didn’t go well
Got hit on by the leader after the second meeting. I’m was there to get sober , he was trying to get laid
The ability to believe, in myself.
That is a sad, unfortunate problem. The only thing I would suggest to you see if you can find women’s meetings to go to, and I can only speak for myself. I have asked a couple ladies out from the meeting that only because it gets very lonely at home it’s not always cause somebody wants to get laid because there’s other avenues to do that I can only speak from my experience you’re a beautiful lady, so if you think that’s not gonna happen then you’re wrong there are guys who have honest intentions, and I don’t know all the facts but that’s what I would suggest try to find women’s meetings to go to
Actually, I’ve made a decision not to date anyone from the program because you’re not gonna put two sick people together and get a Welll person. That’s just my opinion.
I totally agree with that
I guess I’m a little scared because I’ve been divorced for over five years. I went through a very messy divorce. A lot of different things happened. I just don’t know if I’m ready to dive back into that. or even if that’s what I want for my life anymore. I am very confused one minute. I think I want that the next minute I am just not meeting up with very high-quality people and I really don’t want to get into what’s happening, but those are the only suggestions I can make for you, but if I was willing to date somebody in recovery, I would probably ask you out to you’re a beautiful lady but the intentions would be honest down here in Florida. I have gotten emails from women who only want one thing There’s a Gentlemans club every 10 feet in Florida they have escort services, I don’t know I guess if I ever get into a relationship again, I want more out of a relationship than just what goes on in the bedroom for whatever that’s worth, and I’ve probably already shared more than I should’ve
Amy you will feel better physically your body won't need to have a drink or drug to function, mentally you will be free from torturing yourself and making yourself feel guilty all the time once you live your life free from all that stuff you will be living a real life being clean and sober is the best life I've ever lived, don't let anybody negative in your life cut out everything that is a trigger for you,I hope you make through keep your head up and smile love yourself cause you matter.....
I've gotten a lot of compliments on my skin and overall mental health. I feel a lot better, have more time to do things. My life is so much more peaceful and 0% drama.

Yes
To be free and to know that you are in recovery and it will never be a Cure
