What’s the best advice you ever received in your recovery?
Don’t take anything serious but your recovery. Works for me.
Keep coming back.
It works-It really does!
“It too shall pass”, every time I am struggling with a feeling I say that to myself
Forgive yourself. Go to bed early. Keep busy. Make a plan. Eat something.
It’s only 24 hours- one day at a time. Keep going out gets harder to get back.if I would even get back or die.aa
Don't pick up no matter what!!
This is a program of honesty. My sponsor told me that when we first met, and it’s always stuck with me. We live in our addiction in a life of lies; lies to ourselves, and to others. In our sobriety, we should strive for rigorous honesty if we want to live happy, sober, fulfilling lives.
Be kind and loving to all
The grateful addict never picks up! As long as I can maintain focus on what's going right, the bad doesn't seem so bad. Our addict mentality takes these things and blows them out of proportion sending us into a spiral of self pity. When I'm in gratitude, I can get through anything.
Chase your recovery with the same urgency and unwavering persistence you chased your drink/drug.
Attitude is everything! The right attitude can assist you to greatness!
Relapse is not a requirement. Heard that at my first meeting.
Don’t screw it up
Just don’t drink no matter what
In order to bloom, you need to plant seeds of love within. Love yourself.
As long as you don’t pick up a drink…
You have to do it for yourself. No one else but yourself
I love this
that’s so true
