Why are you here?

I'm curious what brought you here?
Looking for help with your drinking/drug use?
Didn't know what else to try and your phone suggested this app?
Looking for other local like minded people?
It always fascinates me to hear other stories of what brings a person to the decision they made, with reaching out or trying to connect. Even if you don't feel like sharing, you're here. I hope you find something to get you through today.

I tried other things like soberrrcovery.com and my recovery. Both were terrible. This app is better but still needs work.

I am new to this app as well. Trying to find resources to be connected online and hopefully in person at some point.

I’m here bc I’m tired. I’m tired of not being there for myself. Feel like I bear the heaviest chains with addiction.

I was tired of struggling alone with nobody that understood my plight. I had gone it alone for several years and had a couple of slip-ups. It’s tough when you have nobody to talk to that understands. This app has made a difference more than once.

Just trying to get back on track from a relapse so just to find a sober community. I use another app along with Reddit sober community so figured I try this one out

I googled sober dating app and loosid came up...no dating stuff but I couldn't be happier with the app and how it helps my sobriety!

I have been using Women for Sobriety (WFS) for the last year and a half. It has saved my life. I just felt like I needed another community. Thinking about dating soon and probably need to date within the recovery community. Idk

Yea any other tools to help us can always be an added benefit. It's like my way of keeping in touch with those like me.

It's amazing how when we search for something we think we want and powers above give us something else we needed.

Hopefully you realize the things you didn't do before the relapse happened and how maybe you need to do things that you should have. I wish you well and hope that was your last time!

It's definitely important to connect and hear from others that have been through what you have and can lend ear to at least listen. You're not alone @david103015

Been there brother, you don't have to feel alone, many have been through what you may have experienced I'm sure! Reaching out and asking for help proved to be an awesome and freeing thing for my life. I wish you well and hope you find others like you to help you @patrick138585

No doubt it's always nice to find people near but just connecting and sharing with others helps just as much. Even if they are far away, they're here!

I have quit drinking a few times before but never lasted more than a few months, usually only a week or two. I decided I wanted to quit for good and did a search for online sobriety support groups. This seemed the most like what I was looking for. It helps me feel more accountable putting it out there and having a Sobriety Tracker. I like the daily tips and feel like if I am struggling I can post something and get support. I am almost at 45 days and feeling pretty good about sticking it out.

Lost everything I hadn't lost from drink/ high episodes when I decided to get sober so.. here to meet new people/ gain insight on what the heck is going on

Yeah I’m realizing things that I should have done. I’m slowly implementing them now. Ty wishing you well as well.

I want to help others and share what worked for me :slightly_smiling_face:

I downloaded this app after searching “sober dating app” on google. There are literally no women in my area :joy::rofl:

Now I just post when I’m sad and feel hopeless.

Was searching for a recovery app, I already have a recovery counter and meditation app, the daily gratitude list keeps me here
